The Vineyard Ste-Petronille

the unique products of the island

The first vineyard that you pass on your taste tour of the island is Vignoble Ste-Petronille. It is a perfect example of the unique products of the island. The grapes for the wines are all grown organically producing a high-quality bottle of wine. The vineyard fruitioned as the family owners decided to turn their world upside-down and learn the art of winemaking.

The welcoming atmosphere allows for you to happily stroll through the 9.45 hectares of vineyard and view the grapes and vines up close. It is a picture-perfect opportunity as the location is directly opposite the Chutes de Montmorency on the other side of the St. Lawrence. With an old style farmhouse at the end of the property then it is perfect postcard moment you could send to your family exclaiming about all the wonders of the island.

Step inside and try all varieties of wine produced there for a reasonable $3. The servers are helpful and informative about the grape variety and food pairings for each style of wine. Afterwards, take your favourite glass and sit on the terrace enjoying the beautiful view.

Private and group tours are also a possibility if you want to experience the viticulture behind these wines – email ahead to find out more about the packages they provide. Alternatively, try the VIP packages, and take your senses on a pleasure tour. These last around an hour and delve more into the history, the land and of course, the wines.

An all-round wine lovers heaven.
