Ride a scooter and discover Ile d’Orleans, while following your local guide! Only 15 min from Quebec City, the island is waiting for you: Taste local products, learn about the island’s history and enjoy the beautiful landscape on this fun and informative tour for small groups.
Meet your guide and require your scooter at the Motel Ile d’Orleans, our shop close to the island’s bridge. Before heading on the street, you can try your scooter on our parking lot – no worries for beginners! Our scooters are light-weighted, easy to drive and very reliable.
Now it’s time to head on Chemin Royal, surrounding the whole island. First, we’ll visit a local farm, famous for their delicious wines, jams and kinds of vinegar made of black currant, a very tasty little fruit.
Next, we’ll stop in the picturesque village of Ste. Famille. Next, to the island’s most beautiful church, stroll through ‘Parc des ancêtres’ and learn about the first French families arriving in the 17th century.
We’ll then pass by a quiet forest road to admire peaceful farming lands and the majestic St. Lawrence River – the perfect occasion to take great pictures!
On the south shore, we’ll visit an art-and-vintage shop in an authentic barn, before heading back to the motel.
No scooter driving experience required; you’ll get an introduction upon arrival
Please make sure you dress appropriately for this activity: windbreaker, closed shoes, scarf and gloves, especially in spring and fall.
In case of cancellation from our side because of bad weather (heavy wind or rain), you’ll be given the choice between taking part in the tour on an alternative date (depending on availability) or a full refund. You’ll be informed at least one hour before the beginning of the tour.
