2 Hour Bike Tour
the best way to explore Île d’OrléansThe islands playground has something for all adventurers heart, and even more to offer if you are an adventurer with a soft spot for locally produced food and beverages. The best way to explore Ile d’Orléans is to get the wind in your hair. We’ve made three different routes for you to break up during your stay and make sure you see all the island has to offer from the comfort of your bike or scooters seat.
2 hours is the perfect starter kit. The day you arrive for your island break then it’s the post-check-in taster tour. Taking in all of the village of Sainte-Pétronille and parts of Saint-Laurent and Saint-Pierre, you’re cycling towards one of the best view of the sunsets across the island. The sun says goodnight and fades slowly over the city backdrop and onwards behind the hilly region in the distance across the St. Lawrence.
Grab a bottle of wine at Vignoble Ste-Pétronille or an infamous ice cream at the chocolaterie, grab a seat on the beach beside Rue Horacio Walker and watch the show.
Ile d’Orléans as a whole has many inclines and declines across its terrain so if you sometimes have difficulties with a physical excursion then you might be best to take something with a motor, whether it be an e-bike or scooter. However, if you are used to exercising in your life then this route is a breeze, baring a couple of steep climbs then you shouldn’t have too much strain completing this section of the island.
The air on this tip of the island is the greatest introduction to the deeply fresh air the area has to offer, with trees in every corner and the breeze of the river then it’s the ideal spot for a break away from the city.
